Just wanted to share with you a little about what is going on at the Island Cowgirl Farm...critters big & small, creating & just general shenanigans.
Winter in Leipers Fork, Tennessee was a snowy one. You see we don't usually get much snow down here in the south...maybe a dusting or two. But this year we had some real solid snow storms.
The horses LOVED it. Especially Liberty Belle, my Gypsy Vanner Horse. The colder the better for her. And she gets extra horse cookies...so its a win/win for her all around. What she doesn't like one bit is her blanket. She is a free spirit and has very strong opinions about being blanketed. They usually involve kicking, bucking, rubbing the fence and rolling around on the ground in protest to try to get her blanket off.
Don't feel too sorry for her...she only had it on for a little while when it was sleeting rain.
Despite that fact that even the furry dogs thought it was cold this winter, I kind of loved the beauty of the frozen woods and the epic sunrises that came along with it. In a way it brought be back to my childhood in Upstate New York...a little bit. It was pretty awesome, just as long as it didn't last too long. (All of you up North know exactly what I mean!)
Thank you all for coming along on this ride with me!
